Xyst was engaged to undertake an independent audit of a replacement synthetic playground surface at the Queenstown Primary School in accordance with EN 1177:2018 and NZS 5828:2015.
Our Level 3 inspector conducted surface impact testing using our Triax surface impact tester, and cross referenced the Free Heights of Fall (FHoF) with the impact testing results. Compliance and impact testing data was then assessed ensuring a suitable critical fall height was provided, and that any drops at the FHoF had a compliant Head Injury Criterion, GMax, and impact duration.
A short report was then provided to Queenstown Primary School with recommended actions.
