Playground Surface Impact Testing

Hadlow Preschool – Masterton

Xyst conducted surface impact testing on the artificial turf under all playground equipment (with a Free Height of Fall above 600m and/or forced movement). Testing results were recorded including HIC value and Gmax.

Xyst provided Hadlow Preschool with a short report and a certificate of compliance as well as general recommendations for future maintenance and management – allowing the preschool to prioritise actions and budgets going forward.

Project Benefit

Xyst conducted surface impact testing in accordance with NZS 5828:2015 and EN 1177:2018 on the playground surfacing at the preschool to ensure that the play surface has adequate impact attenuation properties for children when they land and fall.
