Xyst was engaged by Maribyrnong City Council to draft new contract specifications for its contractors’ service delivery in its streetscapes.
Xyst began this project by discussing with staff how maintenance is currently delivered, and by comparing the current contract documentation with the desired level of service. Xyst then drafted specifications for amenity mowing, sports field surrounds mowing, amenity shrubs, litter control and vegetation control. These specifications included details on the activities, requirements, and frequencies, which were developed in an iterative process in conjunction with staff.
Once the specifications had been drafted, Xyst worked with staff and made modifications until the Maribyrnong Parks leadership and delivery teams had given approval for their usage.
