I have worked in environmental policy and planning for 20 years, including roles in local government and foriwi organisations working on a wide range of environmental projects and programmes. I have extensive experience supporting partnerships between iwi and local/central government particularly in statutory processes. 
 
I support clients to work through complex processes associated with recreation and open space planning. My strengths include building strong relationships and a deep understanding of the diverse perspectives that people hold towards the natural environment, recreational and open spaces.

My expertise

I have a broad range of experience in environmental policy and planning.

My skills include strategic planning, policy analysis and advice, Te Tiriti o Waitangi partnerships, resource and conservation management planning, relationship management and project management.

I have held various roles in local government, starting my career as a resource consent planner and moving into programme management and strategic policy. For the last ten years I have worked for iwi organisations, working closely with mana whenua on environmental policy and planning projects with a recent focus on land reclassification and management of conservation land.
