Xyst was engaged research lighting requirements for televised international cricket and procure lighting for this $4.5 million project. We produced a cost benefit analysis of the options of LED and conventional HID sources. A specification was prepared by Xyst and a full procurement exercise undertaken which resulted in a LED source being selected which was the first known use of LED for this application. Xyst undertook independent compliance testing to ensure the illuminance levels were as specified and that light spill met all district plan requirments.
