In 2021, the heating systems at both the Fairlie and Twizel Pools were no longer able to meet the demands of extended summer seasons, placing increasing pressure on aging infrastructure. In response, Mackenzie District Council engaged Xyst to lead the procurement of a reliable and efficient heating solution for both facilities.
Following a competitive process, Coombes Aquatics was awarded the contract, with Xyst overseeing project management from initiation through to completion. The upgraded systems were fully operational for the 2022 season, delivering consistently warmer pool temperatures and an improved experience for the community.
